The first recorded frost of the winter: a light air-frost on our extension roof. I don't suppose it will stay there very long.
And while I am on, I also noticed the perforation, or peck marks, running inside the (hollow) metal bars which frame the double glazing units.
Google Images confirms that these peck marks are indeed the perforations that he was talking about yesterday, at reference 1. I even go so far as to check out one of his Reddit references.
And zooming in, we even have a modest version of the bubbles of condensation with which reference 1 started. Maybe our double glazing needs a refresh...
In response to a supplementary, Google Images suggests that the line down the middle, between the two rows of perforations, is the weld which finishes off forming the framing bars from a flat blank of aluminium (or whatever). And for various reasons, two small rows better than one big row.
PS: I don't seem to be very regular about recording frosts. But reference 2 notices a serious frost in late November and reference 3 a light frost in late September. We shall see how this season develops.
