YouGov wanted to know earlier this morning what we had been watching on TV last night, but I quite failed to get him to take on board the Rupert Davies/BBC adaptations of the Maigret stories we have been watching of late. This despite there being an option for doing just that sort of thing.
He then did one of his deep dives into brand awareness, not very interesting for me, as my brand awareness is close to zero.
And he closed with another experimental interview conducted by AI. We talked about the war in the Ukraine, but it was not a very sophisticated interview, with the interviewer using what seemed to be rather crude prompts in my answers to give him the next question. Don't yet see what might be in it for YouGov.
So no progress since my last attempt, noticed a couple of weeks ago at reference 1. No progress with the pothole either, other than that it has acquired a cone.
PS: when I was little, I worked with what was then called the Government Social Survey (GSS, or something of the sort) on the International Passenger Survey, which last survives to this day. The GSS were careful people who put a lot of work into the design of their surveys, then among the best in the land. I dare say AI could help with that sort of thing, but I have never got the impression that YouGov bothered with it. Do they even employ statisticians?
